Di-n-butylamine
Description
Di-n-Butylamine is a secondary aliphatic amine with a clear, colorless-to-pale yellow appearance. Structurally, it features two butyl groups attached to a single nitrogen atom, making it less reactive than primary amines but highly valuable in various synthetic applications.
It is primarily used as an intermediate in the manufacture of agrochemicals, rubber accelerators, corrosion inhibitors, and pharmaceuticals. Its properties also make it suitable for use in surfactant synthesis and specialty coating formulations. Di-n-Butylamine is soluble in most organic solvents and slightly soluble in water, offering broad compatibility in formulations.
