Description
Diethylene Glycol Dimethyl Ether, or DIGLYME, is a clear, flammable solvent with excellent thermal and chemical stability. Known for its high boiling point and strong solvating power, DIGLYME is commonly used in lithium battery electrolytes, polymerization processes, and organometallic reactions.
Its ability to dissolve both organic and inorganic substances makes it valuable in electronic materials, semiconductor processing, and catalysis. DIGLYME is also used in chemical separations and specialty coatings, particularly where moisture-sensitive or reactive chemistries are involved. It is also characterized by its low vapor pressure and compatibility with reactive metals.
